What an adventurous day at Chill and Ride 2015 – but without finals! Due to stormy conditions they had to call off  the Pro Men contest at Europe’s biggest wakeboarding competition early. Still the Irish riders won and took the top spot.

Big congratulations to the Irish riders Sian Hurst, who took the Gold Medal in the Wakeboard Contest Pro Girls, and to David O’Caoimh for the first place at International Pro Men contest. David has already won the contest three years in a row. It was only last year he had to leave the title to Sam Carne (GBR).

With almost 100 motorboats – and even a few sailing boats – on the Rhine it has really been a weekend true to the motto “GO BIG”. Sunshine, awesome people and great parties in the evening. Unfortunately, only until the rainy ending before the finals. Still the pro riders killed it in the quarter finals and with seemingly endless debating – due to the stormy weather and soaking wet clothes – by the judges they came up with the results:

Winners of the Wakeboard Contest International Pro Men

1. David O’Caoimh (IRL)

2. Same Carne (GBR)

3. Shawn Watson (USA)

Winners of the Wakeboard Contest Pro Girls

1. Sian Hurst (IRL)

2. Charlotte Bryant (GBR)

3. Aisling Deegan (IRL)

4. Robbie Rendo (ARG)
